Meiji Techno’s microscopes fulfil HSE regulations for asbestos monitoring

Meiji’s ML2000 microscope meets all the requirements of the Health & Safety Executive’s regulations for asbestos fibre counting (MDHS 39/4). With a phase contrast turret condenser allowing phase and brightfield examinations, the lens package gives 500x magnification for fibre counting.

For asbestos fibre identification, Meiji’s ML9200 is the perfect microscope as outlined in HSE regulations (MDHS 77). Speaking to Microscopy & Analysis, Jim Targus of Optech Scientific Instruments, Meiji’s leading distributor for asbestos applications, says “this system is a true polarising microscope employing centring by the nosepiece. Equipped with a rotating polarizer, analyser, Bertrand lens and full wave plate makes all examinations with a dispersion staining objective a very simple and straightforward process.”

Key to Meiji’s success has been the ability to meet the needs of specific applications through the supply of rugged, cost-effective microscopes having a life-time warranty. With excellent technical support and rapid delivery, on-site trials and demonstrations available too, Meiji Techno’s broad range of microscopes provide high value in use solutions at a very attractive price.
